PERU. Lima Airport Partners (LAP) has launched tenders for 31 food & beverage outlets at Lima Jorge Chávez International Airport’s new passenger terminal. Bidding is expected to close by July.

The new single-passenger terminal is set to begin operations in January 2025 and will have an approximate annual capacity of 30 million passengers.

Lima Airport Partners Retail Manager Lucio Benavente noted: “We at Lima Airport Partners are very excited to announce that we have started the commercial processes for the food & beverage business segment in the new Jorge Chávez terminal.

“With the main objective of elevating the passenger experience, the new and renewed commercial offer will be focused mainly on exposing Peruvian cuisine with a wide varied and innovative offer that will surprise national and international passengers.”

Lima Airport Partners plans a diverse mix of F&B concepts and promote local Peruvian cuisine at the new terminal. As the renderings above and below reveal, the facility will offer elegance, space, a neat fusion of operational and commercial services and a strong Sense of Place.

In an interview with Revista Construir, Benavente said that the estimated investment for the new F&B space will be between US$33 million and US$35 million. Participation in the tender is not only targeted at local firms but international operators are also invited to place their bids.

Benavente  told Revista Construir that the planned 8,000sqm F&B project will introduce a mix of new dining concepts including a food hall, which will feature live music. A bar and some of the country’s flagship restaurants are also planned.

“What we want is to turn the Lima Airport into a place that offers a unique experience within an environment where each traveller can find what they are looking for, which is a symbol of Peru’s modernity, integrating elements of our wide and varied culture,” he said.
