“A once in a decade innovation”– Estée Lauder reveals new Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex

The Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex will be launched in worldwide travel retail on 1 August

In a blockbuster launch, Estée Lauder has revealed the latest addition to its best-selling Advanced Night Repair range.

The new Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex has been enhanced with leading-edge Chronolux Power Signal Technology.

The technology boosts the skin’s cell renewal and collagen production processes.

The new line was launched in worldwide travel retail today, 1 August. It is also available in a travel retail exclusive 100ml bottle.

The new Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex combats multiple signs of aging and protects the skin from environmental aggressors.

The new formula is backed by years of epigenetic research led by The Estée Lauder Companies Vice President, Skin Biology & BioActives Global Research & Development Dr. Nadine Pernodet. This research was inspired by the late Dr. Paolo Sassone-Corsi, who tragically passed away on 23 July just before the launch.

He was a ground-breaking epigenetics expert, dedicated professor, devoted scholar and a dear friend to the Estée Lauder brand. He was also the Director of the Centre for Epigenetics and Metabolism in the University of California.

Dr. Paolo Sassone-Corsi’s work significantly progressed the fields of transcription, metabolism, endocrinology and epigenetics, receiving multiple accolades from the scientific community. His latest work with the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex has been touted as one of the brand’s most significant beauty discoveries.

Dr. Sassone-Corsi believed that only 25% of aging is predetermined by genes; while the remaining 75% is influenced by environmental and lifestyle factors.

“Within a certain biological capacity, we are able to ‘decide’ what we are and how gracefully we age,” said Dr. Sassone-Corsi before his passing. “Our DNA is not our only destiny. In other words, we are not forever programmed to be what is written in our DNA. We believe that only around 25% of aging is predetermined by your genes, and 75% or so is influenced by environmental and lifestyle factors. Therefore, we can affect our metabolism, our body’s behaviour, and even our skin —depending on lifestyle choices.”

Over the last seven years, Estée Lauder has studied over 80 micro-signalling molecules in the skin to gain a deeper understanding of aging. It has identified a specific micro signalling molecule that promotes natural skin repair across multiple anti-aging pathways. Through extensive in-vitro research, the beauty house also discovered that the level of this molecule decreases as part of the aging process.

The newly-developed Chronolux Power Signal technology features a patent-pending micro signalling molecule activator, made of a proprietary blend of yeast extract, peptide and plant-based ingredients.

Estée Lauder’s apothecary-inspired ‘little brown bottle’ gets a sustainable makeover for the new launch

The technology ignites a dynamic connected skin repair network, supports the natural synchronisation of night-time skin renewal and maximises the skin’s natural night and day repair and protection rhythm. It also supports skin cells’ natural purification, addresses cellular damage and increases cell renewal and production by 43%.

Estée Lauder Travel Retail Worldwide General Manager Jean Yves Minet says the “once in a decade” innovation is the brand’s most significant launch to date.

In exclusive discussion with The Moodie Davitt Report he said: “The new Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex will be available in our global distribution starting in August 2020. Our retail partners across the world are all going to play an important role in this significant launch. We see all our markets as priorities as we really are unveiling an innovation that only happens once in a decade.”

Minet added, “This launch — which has been over seven years in the making — is our most significant launch to date. For the travel retail customer, we will be offering the new Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex in a variety of travel retail exclusive offerings, including the popular 100ml size. Our plans are evolving and adapting to the current environment in travel retail.”

Clinical tests reveal that after one use of the Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex, the skin barrier is strengthened and plumped with 72-hour hydration and 8-hour antioxidant protection.

Based on a consumer test of 543 women who used the Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex for a four-week period, sensory results reveal that 90% of women say their skin feels softer and smoother after just one drop of the new complex.

After using the product for three weeks,  91% of women say their skin is more rested, 88% say their skin looks plumper, while 85% say their fine lines have diminished. After one bottle, 91% of women say that their skin was left with a healthy glow while 89% say their skin is firmer and has more elasticity.

In addition, the new serum is packaged in a more sustainable version of Estée Lauder’s apothecary-inspired ‘little brown bottle.’ The bottle is made with recyclable glass and features an enhanced translucency gradient.

*In memoriam: The Moodie Davitt Report extends its deepest sympathy and sincere condolences to Dr. Paolo Sassone-Corsi’s wife Emiliana Borrelli and their extended families, as well as his many colleagues across the scientific and professional communities.
