“A new vision of style”: Rodenstock to make Cannes debut

German eyewear specialist Rodenstock has set its sights on global expansion as a first-time exhibitor at the TFWA World Exhibition this year (Riviera Village, RE11).

With what it calls “a new vision of style” at its core, Rodenstock said the range combines classic sunglass styles such as aviator, cat-eye and panto-shaped, with a timeless look and state-of-the-art technology.

Rodenstock eyewear features ultra-light titanium in retro-inspired, modern shapes. At the Cannes event, the company will highlight eight styles.

The company noted “excellent growth” in domestic markets in Asia, the Middle East and Eastern Europe and, with double-digit growth in travel retail year-to-year, “feels that now is the right time” to expand in the global market.

Rodenstock boasts strong relationships with retailers including Dufry, Bahrain Duty Free, Phoenicia Aer Rianta Company (PAC) in Beirut Duty Free, China Duty Free Group, Duty Free Partners and Kappé, and is launching with Hudson in the US.
