A fresh catch: Airmall Maryland opens R&R Seafood Bar at Baltimore/Washington International

USA. Airmall Maryland has extended dining options at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport with a new R&R Seafood Bar.

The new outlet, in the D/E connector, is a spin-off from the popular Obrycki’s, which was renovated and expanded earlier this year.

Airmall Maryland Vice President Brett Kelly said: “We are excited to welcome an innovative concept from a team whose restaurants are synonymous with Chesapeake flavour. R&R Seafood Bar brings the taste of a Maryland crab house to the terminal in a fresh, modern setting.”

R&R Seafood Bar includes a raw bar offering fresh shucked oysters, neck clams and steamed seasoned shrimp. Its made-to-order menu features locally caught seafood and includes Obrycki’s famous crab cakes which are regarded as a Baltimore tradition. The crab cakes, made with fresh lump and lump blue crab meat, are available fried or broiled. They are served with two side dishes or between bread or crackers as a takeaway. A spicier version with Worcestershire sauce, additional herbs and seasonings is also available.

The menu also includes a selection of starters, salads, sandwiches and sides along with breakfast dishes including a crab omelette. Beer, wine and cocktails are available, including the signature house drink, Crabby Mary, which is made with Absolut Peppar vodka in a glass rimmed with Obrycki’s spicy seafood seasoning and garnished with a crab claw.

BWI Marshall Airport Chief Executive Officer Ricky Smith commented: “R&R Seafood Bar is an important local addition to our concessions programme.

“From the same family that has operated the award-winning Obrycki’s for many years here at BWI Marshall Airport, the new R&R Seafood Bar brings the flavour of Maryland seafood to more passengers.”

R&R Seafood Bar is open daily from 4am until 9pm.

Last week, Airmall Marshall announced several other new dining options at BWI Marshall Airport. They include The Club BWI, Green Beans Coffee, Pie Five and Tony & Benny’s.
