CHINA. Xi’an Xianyang International’s Wolfgang Weil has presented an update on the airport’s progress in implementing its Xi’an Trinity Conference (XTC) at a key industry event in China.
The Chief Operations Officer spoke at The 6th China Airport Commercial & Retail Summit 2016. The event was held between 8-9 September in Qingdao under the theme ‘Building up commercial opportunities’.
Weil asked whether the XTC, which was held in April and brought together airports, retailers and brands, could serve as a role model for other airports in China to boost their commercial success.
The XTC attracted 73 representatives from 54 companies including 29 concessionaires and 25 brands. It was inspired by The Trinity Forum, a tri-partite alliance of ACI World, ACI Asia-Pacific and The Moodie Davitt Report, which is taking place this week in Mumbai.
The 6th China Airport Commercial & Retail Summit 2016 was attended by more than 200 people, with many airports and retailers present.
