NORWAY. WHSmith has partnered with SSP to open a store at Stavanger Airport under a franchise agreement. The opening represents the UK news, books and convenience items retailer’s entry into the Norwegian market.
The store will offer a selection of Norwegian and international newspapers, magazines and books as well as confectionery, drinks and grab & go sandwiches. WHSmith’s own brand travel essentials range will also be available.
Stavanger handled 4.5 million passengers in 2015, making it the third-busiest Norwegian airport.
WHSmith said it is now present in 23 countries and 61 airports worldwide.
