L’Oréal brand Viktor & Rolf has unveiled a new advertising visual for its first feminine fragrance, Flowerbomb.
The new image, said to reflect the fragrance’s modernity while respecting the visual continuity of the original, depicts a ‘floral goddess’ (model Andreea Diaconu) with a bouquet of flowers bursting from her head.
The explosion of flowers features a colour palette ranging from softer blush, pink, lavender and fuchsia to deeper tones of raspberry, plum, burgundy and black orchid.
According to Viktor & Rolf, the visual illustrates Flowerbomb’s timeless oriental, gourmand fragrance.
Flowerbomb’s signature scent, which launched in 2005, features notes of sambac jasmine, freesias, cattleya orchids and centifolia roses combined with a patchouli and sweet vanilla accord.
L’Oréal Designer Brand Fragrances International General Manager Nathalie Durán said: “The Flowerbomb image is a powerful, evolving archetype that illustrates this signature scent and the power of the flowers within. We wanted to convey a renewed sense of spirit and excitement around the fragrance that will continue to lead and inform the modern visual direction of Flowerbomb at all touch points, including a focus on refreshed visual merchandising.”
