Treasury Wine Estates and Peuch & Besse lend support to Wine O’Clock seminar

INTERNATIONAL. Treasury Wine Estates and Peuch & Besse have joined the sponsor line-up for the travel retail industry’s first wine seminar – Wine O’Clock – as momentum builds for the highly-anticipated event.

Wine O’Clock will take place on the afternoon of Sunday 29 September 2019 during the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes, France. Treasury Wine Estates will represent the Australia and New Zealand wine region as sponsor, while Peuch & Besse will represent France.

Attendance will be on an exclusive invitation-only basis for key industry stakeholders, including retailers and airport executives

“Treasury Wine Estates is honoured to be a part of the first travel retail wine seminar,” said General Manager Global Travel Simon Carter. “Having our presence at Wine O’Clock allows us to connect with industry partners who believe in the power of global brands, and demonstrates our commitment to developing the wine category in duty free and travel retail.

“As a wine company, it is also vital for us to create more engaging wine experiences to deliver against our vision to make wine a travel retail destination.”

Peuch & Besse CEO Sylvain Combe commented: “Peuch & Besse carry our passion for fine French wines into a passion for the travel retail channel. We believe that fine wine offers enormous growth potential in the channel but for that opportunity to be fulfilled there has to be greater awareness of the category from within the industry and greater promotion of it.

“So we welcome Wine O’Clock warmly and are delighted to support this excellent initiative as the representative of the wonderful and diverse French wine industry.”
