‘The ultimate link to luxury’ – DFS Galleria.com unveils new-look luxury retail website – 11/02/08

INTERNATIONAL. DFS Group Limited, the world’s largest luxury travel retailer, today launched its redesigned global website, DFS Galleria.com.

The revamped site features an updated modern look and enhanced features. The chic look incorporates a blend of graphics and international fashion images.

The most innovative new feature, DFS said, is the online “˜Client Reservation System’ which gives prospective shoppers the opportunity to browse a broad collection of luxury merchandise and then reserve items online. Purchased items are then waiting for collection when the shopper arrives at their DFS destination.

The look of luxury: “a destination in itself for world travellers in search of luxury shopping at extraordinary savings”

The retailer said: “DFS’ technological, merchandising, and creative teams worked together to bring travel retail clients an exciting new website experience that’s easy to navigate and rich with world-renowned luxury brands and expanded customer services.”

The site features enhanced product offerings presented in individual luxury brand “˜e-tiques’. And it utilises the popular Google Maps service to show DFS Galleria store locations and directions.

DFS Galleria.com features sophisticated in-site search and guided navigation to enable potential clients to filter by brand, product type, and other attributes. The site’s content is in English, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese, and, notably, each features pricing in local currency.

The site features a store locater using Google Maps and travel guides to cities in which DFS Galleria operates

Listings from LUXE City Guides offer tips on accommodation, restaurants, and entertainment in each city featured.

“It’s the ultimate link to luxury, from the hottest new handbag and prestige watches to fine Champagne and skincare. The new dfsgalleria.com website is a destination in itself for world travellers in search of luxury shopping at extraordinary savings,” said Lynn Arce, DFS Vice President for Global Creative, who lead the site design team.
