CHINA. CDF-Sunrise Duty Free recently opened 10,000sq m of elegant new space at Shanghai Pudong International Airport satellites S1 and S2.
The Satellite Hall, which opened on 16 September, is the largest single-building satellite terminal in the world, according to the airport company. Located south of the existing Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, the new 620,000sq m structure is split into two zones, S1 and S2. The two buildings combined house 28,000sq m of commercial space, including 10,000sq m for duty free.
We share exclusive on location coverage from our close Chinese partner Extra-Aile Media, as part of our pioneering collaboration with Chinese B2C WeChat social media account Globuy [玩转全球免税].
Globuy aims to become “the KOL of Chinese travel retail” and already has 400,000 followers and a monthly audience of 1 million views for its WeChat social media platform promoting new launches, product availability, promotions and special offers.
Globuy was the first Chinese KOL to be invited for a special tour of CDF-Sunrise Duty Free’s new stores.

It also reviewed the pop-up stores, boutiques and restaurants in both satellite terminals and shared some useful tips on navigating the offer across Shanghai Pudong Airport’s four terminals (T1, T2, S1 and S2).
Globuy focused heavily on the newly launched beauty brands at Shanghai Pudong Airport. Highlights included SkinCeuticals, Darphin, Elixir, IPSA, Filorga, Burberry Makeup, Makeup Forever, NARS and Atelier Cologne.
