INTERNATIONAL. Welcome to the latest issue of The Moodie Davitt e-Zine, in which we review the fifth Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) Conference and Awards.

Themes such as newness in design and offer, provenance and local flavour and airport–concessionaire relationships were prominent in a host of top-class presentations as speakers addressed how to raise the bar for travel dining.

The FAB Awards provided a spectacular highlight as the industry celebrated excellence in travel F&B from around the world. We present a multimedia review of the winning concepts and companies.

We were on location as Lagardère Travel Retail opened a daringly different walk-through duty free store at London Luton Airport, which we review in this edition. The store offers an alternative shopping experience and an edgier, more urban view of London. The retailer has also emphasised a range of customer activities and a compelling product mix as it takes a giant leap into the UK market.

In coming days The Moodie Davitt Report will publish its unique annual guide to the world’s top 25 travel retailers (based on 2015 turnover) in our July/August Print Edition. We present a special preview with a focus on the top five players in the market.
