AUSTRALIA. In what is said to be an Australian airport first, Sydney Airport has launched a new gift card to coincide with the run-up to Christmas.
The gifting option is available for use across all three of Sydney Airport’s terminals, including T1 International, T2 and T3 Domestic.
It can be used across all retail and dining stores at Sydney Airport where eftpos (electronic funds transfer at point of sale) is accepted, and can be securely purchased online via Sydney Airport’s website.
Travellers can send a gift card directly to the person travelling with a personalised note, with a range of payment and delivery options available. Sydney Airport said that denominations suit all budgets, from A$20.00 to A$250.00, enhancing value and choice.
“We are delighted to launch the official Sydney Airport gift card just before the busy Christmas gifting period,” said Sydney Airport General Manager Retail Glyn Williams.
“We understand the needs of the modern traveller and their shopping habits, so this is a convenient new gifting initiative which taps into the passengers’ desire to start their holiday at the airport.”
