Trinity Banner August 2016 partners
INDIA. What questions would you ask three of the most powerful leaders of the industry Trinity – including the biggest travel retailer, the leading brand company, and the visionary of Indian airports?

Next week’s Trinity Forum in Mumbai, offers exactly that opportunity in a much-anticipated open debate featuring Julián Díaz, CEO of Dufry; Dayalan Nayager, Managing Director of Diageo Global Travel; and GV Sanjay Reddy, Vice Chairman of GVK and Managing Director of Mumbai International Airport Ltd.

None of the panellists will deliver set presentations. Each has agreed to take candid questions from moderator Martin Moodie and the audience (via a live-stream dedicated website) on the future of travel retail.

This year’s Trinity Forum is shaping as one of the most important in the 13-year history of the event, as the industry faces an unprecedented challenge from a surging cross-border e-commerce sector, notably in China.

The Forum theme, ‘Adding value to the consumer journey in an omni-channel world’, reflects that challenge – but also the opportunity that airports have to enhance the travel experience, through social and digital media and by marrying e-commerce opportunities to a traditional (but highly distinctive) bricks and mortar business.

Background

In another addition to the programme, Stefan Dembinski, Organization and Commercial Re-engineering Project Leader for L’Oréal Group Global Travel Retail, will join a straight-talking session, the closing panel discussion themed ‘Telling it straight – how does the future look for our industry?

This hard-hitting, prophetic session involving a broad array of Trinity perspectives will also feature Flemingo Director Paul ToppingKai Schmidhuber, Executive Vice President Multi-Channel, Fraport; and Michael Guenoun, Managing Director Travel Retail Asia, Cartier
