Seattle-Tacoma Airport issues RFP for foreign exchange concession

US. The Port of Seattle is seeking proposals from qualified companies to manage and operate the foreign currency exchange concession at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

The Port said it was “seeking companies to provide foreign currency exchange services that meet the needs and expectations of the international traveller in selection and value”.

Foreign exchange sales hit US$12.8 million in 2012, up from US$12.3 million a year earlier. This is down on the high in recent years of US$15.5 million, set in 2009. Travelex operates the currency exchange concession at Seattle today.

A pre-proposal meeting for this tender will be held on 13 June in the Tokyo Conference Room in the Airport Office Building, Mezzanine Level. A review of the Request for Proposal (RFP) and site visit will take place.

Bids are due by 2 August.
