The facility is located on Level 2 at the airport close to the arrivals baggage carousel and customs.

“In India airline check-in is generally three-to-four hours before departure,” noted Royal Valtrans India CEO Masthan Adam, who came up with the lounge concept based on his own experiences. “Many passengers arrive at the airport four-to-eight hours before departure and yearn for a lounge like ours.

“Our pricing is very affordable and not just for the elite groups, anyone can use our facility because it is pay-per-use; we never twist our passengers’ hand.”

Royal Valtrans India already has a presence at Bangalore Airport, and Adam said the company’s 2017 strategy was to launch its products and services in other airports.

NOTE: The Moodie Davitt Report is increasing its coverage of passenger lounges from ‘consumer-pays’ lounges only to all passenger lounges, reflecting our focus on airport consumer services and non-aeronautical activities. We invite submissions at Martin@MoodieDavittReport.com.

We are planning to produce regular lounge features and an e-newsletter in the near future.
