Rossi D’Asiago introduces a miniature Antica Sambuca

Liqueur specialist Rossi D’Asiago will unveil a mini 5cl Antica Sambuca Classic at next month’s TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (Marine Village R03).

The new size targets airlines and cruise ships, both new channels for the Italian distiller.

Proving that size does matter: the mini Antica Sambuca targets new markets for Rossi D’Asiago

Rossi D’Asiago Export Director Nicola Dal Toso said: “Our full-sized bottle is ideal for the airport shop floor, but we realised we would need to adapt its size if we wanted to offer our Sambuca both inflight and on ships. The new size is perfect for airlines and cruise ships that want to offer something different to drink to their passengers, and don’t want to just stick to the usual spirit choices.”

The Antica line offers a range of flavours, including liquorice, raspberry, banana, apple, coffee, cherry and tropical. Rossi D’Asiago has plans to offer further flavours in the smaller size “when the timing is right”.

“We are currently listed in James Richardson Duty Free shops and DDFS India, so we have a foot in the door. We see such great opportunities for Antica Sambuca in travel retail and duty free; it is the ideal liqueur for airport retailers to attract and encourage travellers to spend money,” added Dal Toso.

Earlier this month, Rossi D’Asiago announced an agreement with Sula Vineyards for the distribution of Antica Sambuca in duty free and domestic markets in India.

“We are delighted with our new partnership with Sula Vineyards, the biggest Indian wine producer and international importer of world famous brands,” Dal Toso added.

“The Indian market has many opportunities for Antica Sambuca and we are confident that this new partnership will be the start of a fruitful business in the Indian territories.”
