Ross Baker named Heathrow Chief Commercial Officer; Jonathan Coen becomes Customer Relations & Service Director

Ross Baker takes responsibility for Heathrow’s service proposition and commercial interests as well as airline business development

UK. Heathrow Airport today announced the appointment of Ross Baker (right) to the new role of Chief Commercial Officer, reporting to Chief Executive John Holland-Kaye. He takes charge of the airport’s service proposition and commercial interests as well as airline business development.

Baker has been Heathrow Operations Director since January 2014. He has a background in strategic consultancy and commercial operations across the aviation sector, including spells with Bain & Company from 2006 to 2011 and British Airways (as Commercial Manager) from 1997 to 2006.

 In a related change, Jonathan Coen moves from Commercial Director to become Customer Relations and Service Director.

In his new position, Coen is responsible for activating Heathrow’s commitment to delivering the world’s best airport service alongside key aviation partners.  He has extensive experience across airline business development, retail, baggage development, and brand & service proposition design.

In his commercial role Coen was responsible for driving Heathrow’s revenue and leading the company’s drive to develop a service brand and marketing proposition to help deliver the world’s best airport service.
