Rémy Cointreau to unveil new design for Mount Gay Rum Eclipse

INTERNATIONAL. Rémy Cointreau Global Travel Retail will unveil a new-look image and packaging for Mount Gay Rum Eclipse and Eclipse Silver at the TFWA World Exhibition next month (Stand number: Marine Village Foyer 1A).

Eclipse, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, is described as a light-bodied rum that is “more complex in taste and aroma” than other white rums.

The new premium image for the two rums comprises a more contemporary, slimmer bottle shape, an engraved brand crest and a more refined style of labelling which reflect the heritage and quality of the world’s oldest rum, the firm said.

The new premium image is designed to reflect the “strong history and personality” of Eclipse and Eclipse Silver

The latest designs unite Eclipse and Eclipse Silver with other rums in the portfolio including Mount Gay Rum Extra Old and Mount Gay 1703 which were revealed recently. All these will be exhibited at the Cannes show.

With a history dating back 300 years, the Mount Gay Rum brand claims to be the oldest rum in the world, produced from sugar cane and the coral‐filtered water native to the island of Barbados.
