TAIWAN. Two Ever Rich Duty Free souvenir cakes have been recognised at an awards event celebrating culinary creations in Taiwan and China.
The 6th Culinary Culture Forum and 2016 Annual Culinary and Food Award took place at the Ever Rich Golden Lake Hotel in Taiwan-governed Kinmen earlier in June.
It was organised by the Culinary Franchise Management Association and China National Radio, with over 115 companies in the region participating.
Ever Rich Duty Free Shop was victorious in the 10 Best Souvenir Award 2016 category. Its taro mochi cake in the shape of Kinmen’s mascot, the Wind Lion God, and its pineapple cake adorned with a Taiwanese religious pattern were recognised. The pineapple cake is a Taiwan and Ever Rich exclusive.
Ever Rich Golden Lake Hotel’s roast goose with fermented red beancurd and kaoliang liquor dish was awarded the 2016 Culinary and Food Award as one of the best dishes across the China-Taiwan strait.
