SWITZERLAND. Zürich Airport has unveiled “˜Ducati Days’, hailed as one of the biggest motorcycle promotions ever held in an airport.
Sponsored by the recently opened Ducati flagship store in Zürich Dietlikon, the campaign features 44 red “˜divas’ in 12 locations across the airport. It started on 9 March and will continue until 22 April.
Ducati models on show range from the bestselling Monster and the new Ducati Diavel to this year’s “˜superstar’, the 1199 Panigale. The promotion also offers visitors the chance to win a new Streetfighter 848.
Information boards provide travellers with full details of Ducati’s development, its motorcycle racing history and its trademark design while the Ducati shop at the heart of the Zürich Airport passenger area offers a wide range of original clothing and memorabilia.
Zürich Airport Head of Marketing Retail & Services Patrick Graf said: “The world of Ducati is filled with passion and fascination. It’s about much more than just motorcycles; it’s a lifestyle. Visitors and passengers should spend some time at Zürich Airport and allow themselves to be swept away by the legend of Ducati.
“This promotion is an excellent opportunity for Zürich Airport not only to attract passengers and visitors but also to create what we call the “˜wow’ experience,” he added.
“Since the opening of the centralised security in December 2011 passengers are spending much more quality time within our Airside Center therefore it is our aim to create a diversified environment and commercial experience to make sure that also the frequent flyers keep attracted to the airport and its promotions and events,” Graf concluded.
