Paradies Lagardère opens new F&B outlets at Austin–Bergstrom Airport

USA. Paradies Lagardère has opened two new food & beverage outlets at Austin–Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA).

The ThunderCloud Subs restaurant and Ruta Maya coffee shop will introduce Austin’s culture to visitors, the company said.

ThunderCloud Subs uses fresh bread which is delivered daily by a local bakery, slices its meats, cheeses and produce in its shops each day, and prepares all spreads from scratch. Ruta Maya is an Austin-based coffee company that imports 100% organic Arabica coffee beans shade-grown by farmers in Chiapas, Mexico.

The restaurant and coffee shop are the first of seven new dining units Paradies Lagardère will open at the airport.

Local brands such as Second Bar and Kitchen, Departure Lounge and Berry Austin will also be available, Paradies Lagardère said.

Senior Vice President for F&B Bill Casey said: “Paradies Lagardère tailors brands to entice travellers in a variety of ways, including bringing the familiar quality, taste and atmosphere of a favourite local dining spot into an airport. ThunderCloud Subs and Ruta Maya will not only appeal to locals coming through the airport, but introduce a bit of what makes Austin special to visitors.”
