USA. Paradies Lagardère will help fight childhood hunger in the USA by raising funds and awareness at its airport restaurants during a month-long initiative.
The company’s airport venues and restaurants will donate 25 cents for every cup of coffee sold during the ‘Dine Out for No Kid Hungry’ programme, which runs throughout September.
Paradies Lagardère will also continue its year-round effort to support No Kid Hungry by donating 25% of every kid’s meal sold and served in its restaurants.
The company noted that one in five children struggles with hunger in the USA. Senior Vice President Food and Beverage Bill Casey said: “Paradies Lagardère continues to work to combat the troubling issue of childhood hunger through its steadfast commitment to No Kid Hungry. We have a goal to double the funds raised last year.”
Funds raised will support No Kid Hungry’s work to connect vulnerable children to nutrition programmes and to teach low-income families how to stretch their food budgets and cook healthy, affordable meals.
Paradies Lagardère operates more than 850 stores and restaurants in 98 airports.
