Nederburg also claimed the 2016 IWSC trophy for the Best Cabernet Sauvignon with its Nederburg Private Bin R163 Cabernet Sauvignon 2013. The wine, as best in its class, also won a gold outstanding medal.

Nederburg Private Bin Eminence 2012 and 2007 and Nederburg Edelkeur 2009 and 2005 were also gold medal winners.

Earlier this month the winery took the 2017 Platter’s By Diners Club South African Wine Guide’s Winery of the Year title. It was ranked one of the top achievers at both the 2016 Veritas Awards and the 2016 Six Nations Wine Challenge.

Nederburg Cellar Master Andrea Freeborough said: “It has been a thrilling and intense year, and we are delighted that our winery and so many of our wines have been acknowledged across the multi-tiered range. We are truly grateful for the recognition and hope to continue making South Africa proud.”
