More licences revealed at new Jakarta Airport Terminal 3 Ultimate

INDONESIA. Further details have emerged of the selected commercial offer at Jakarta Soekarno Hatta International Airport’s new ‘Terminal 3 Ultimate’, including food & beverage operators and duty paid retailers.

As reported, the two duty free contracts were awarded to local firms PT Aura Cantik and PT Dewata Agung Wibawa (Plaza Bali). The duo beat off strong competition from the local partnerships of Dufry, Lotte Duty Free and DFS. The DFS alliance, Inti Dufree Promosindo, was runner-up in both bids.

Plaza Bali’s 1,667sq m concession will cover liquor, tobacco, confectionery, fashion, travel accessory and electronics. Aura Cantik will run 1,518sq m of space for cosmetics, fragrances, luxury boutiques, watches and jewellery.

The food & beverage concessions were awarded to HMSHost (international airside), TG Group (working with SSP) on domestic airside, Mitra Adiperkasa (domestic landside) and Marche (international landside).

T3 is expected to provide a major boost for duty free, specialist retail and F&B revenue. Once fully operational (it opened last month to limited domestic flights), it will have the capacity to handle around 25 million international passengers per year.

In duty paid, local retailing powerhouse Multitrend won the fashion licence (9 locations), beating Batik Keris. T3 represents Multitrend’s airport debut.

The convenience concession was split into two packages of three. They were won by two companies new to the airport sector under the Alfamart and Familymart brands, respectively.
