Montegrappa supports Fereshteh Award cultural writing competition

Details: Italian writing instruments company Montegrappa, in partnership with its Iranian distributor Bidar Group, sponsored a cultural writing competition hosted by the Fereshteh (Angel) Award.

Winners were announced at a ceremony which took place at Tehran’s Fereshteh Book City on 12 June.

Competition judges included well-known Persian poet Ahmad-Reza Ahmadi

The short stories submitted were initially chosen by members of the selection committee and then judged by Ahmad-Reza Ahmadi, Lili Golestan and Mostafa Mastoor. Each member of the selection and judging committee has been influential in the Persian arts culture.

The authors of the first three selected stories, as well as members of the selection and judging committees, were gifted with a Montegrappa pen. A special mention went out to modern Persian poet Ahmad-Reza Ahmadi who received a fountain pen from Montegrappa’s limited-edition Khalil Gibran collection.

The competition final was held at Tehran’s Fereshteh Book City
