Lotte Duty Free wins national awards for its digital platforms

Lotte Duty Free’s mobile app has won the Creative Special Award at the prestigious i-Awards 2018.

SOUTH KOREA. Lotte Duty Free has received two i-Awards in recognition of its innovative digital offering.

The awards, which are sponsored by the Korea Internet Professional Association (KIPFA), recognise excellence and innovation in the field.

Lotte Duty Free received the KIPFA Creative Special Award for its mobile app and the Mobile Web Marketing Category Integration Award for its website.

The retailer said the i-Awards are “the nation’s most prestigious online platform awards ceremony”.

The assessment focused on six categories: visual design; user experience; technology; content; services; and marketing.

Lotte Duty Free also won two awards at the 2017 event. These were the Grand Prize in the overall shopping mall category and the Grand Prize in the advertisement promotion category.

Lotte Duty Free e-Commerce Managing Director Lee Jeong-Min said: “Lotte Duty Free will continue to build customer-oriented digital services with the industry’s highest level of customer convenience.”

Footnote: Entries are now being invited for The Moodies, the sixth edition of the prestigious annual awards that spotlight digital, social media and marketing excellence across the airport and travel retail sectors.

The awards embrace airports overall, and sub-sectors such as travel retail food & beverage and advertising, as well as the wider travel retail sector. Entry is by submissions from the industry.
