London Stansted Airport makes key senior management additions

UK. London Stansted Airport has appointed Martin Jones as Commercial Director, having named Andrew Cowan as CEO in March.

Jones will be responsible for retail, car parking and business development. He previously worked as MAG Interim Retail Director having joined the business from Marks and Spencer in 2015.

Cowan was previously Chief Strategy Officer at Manchester Airports Group (MAG), and took up his new role on 1 April 2016. Prior to becoming Chief Strategy Officer at MAG, Cowan was Chief Operating Officer at the company and Managing Director of Manchester Airport.

Stansted has also made other senior management appointments. Daniel Gallo has been named Customer Service & Security Director having previously held the position of MAG HR Director. He takes over from Karen Smart, who moves to the position of Stansted Assets Management Director. She will be responsible for developing the airport’s future infrastructure needs.

Martin Lyall, who previously held the position of Assets Management Director, is now Stansted’s Transformation Programme Director. James Dix has joined as Finance Director from Drax Group.
