Lindt rolls into Cannes with travel retail-exclusive Chocolate Trolleys

Lindt & Sprüngli is set to launch a range of travel retail-exclusive Chocolate Trolleys at the upcoming TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (Marine Village R7, R5).

The pink or gold packs, targeting the souvenir gifting market, contain 600g of individually-wrapped Napolitains in six flavours: Milk, Milk Hazelnut, Surfin, Lindor, Cresta Milk and Cresta White.

The launch will be supported by POS material, including a mobile ‘rolling’ display, poster and gift-with-purchase promotion.

The new range will be available from spring 2017 for a limited time.

Lindt & Sprüngli Head of Global Duty Free Division Peter Zehnder said research indicated that the majority of travel retail confectionery purchases are for gifting. He also noted an increase in souvenir gifting.

“While many offers follow the same theme of destination-based packaging, this new range stands out as a new take on the souvenir concept.

“Our Napolitains are highly regarded travel products, that have been loved for years by consumers around the globe. This makes them the ideal brand to take centre stage in this initiative. Travel retail exclusives are always well-received, and we are sure our new suitcases will become a must-have travel essential,” Zehnder said.
