Kreol Travel Retail grows Middle East presence for four of its brands

Dubai-based Kreol Travel Retail is set to introduce four of its confectionery and instant powder drink brands to Saudi Arabia travel retail.

Sölen, Jango, Anchor and Nadir will be available at the duty free stores jointly operated by Lagardère Travel Retail, Saudi Airlines Catering Company (SACC) and Arabian Ground Handling Logistic Company at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, Riyadh King Khaled International Airport and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam.

Sölen accounted for 9.4% of total confectionery & food sales at Sharjah International Airport in December, according to Kreol Travel Retail

Turkish confectionery brand Sölen specialises in gifting items and on-the-go snack bars. The brand, which has a presence in over 90 countries, is claimed to be Turkey’s number one chocolate exporter. Sölen was the top performing brand in the confectionery & food category at Sharjah Duty Free at the end of 2016, according to Kreol Travel Retail.

Jango is an instant powder fruit drink brand, available in a variety of flavours, by Cypriot company Tryfon. Anchor is a milk powder brand owned by New-Zealand based dairy cooperative Fonterra.

Anchor and Jango powder products turn into drinks once water is added to the powder

Kreol Travel Retail’s in-house gourmet confectionery brand Nadir launched in Qatar Duty Free in November 2016 and is currently on promotion at Sharjah Duty Free.
