Kering Eyewear and DFS partner in pre-launch of Bottega Veneta collection

Kering Eyewear has partnered exclusively with DFS Group in a global pre-launch of the Bottega Veneta Fall/Winter 2016 Collection.

Two styles from the new range, which will roll out in October, are featured in promotions which started in 15 DFS and T Galleria by DFS stores on 1 August.

DFS Group Director Merchandise Sunglasses, Fashion Watches and Jewellery Jason Blejwas said: “We’re thrilled to partner with Kering Eyewear to bring these iconic styles exclusively to travellers through this pre-launch.”

Kering Eyewear was established in 2014 as a division within luxury group Kering. The purpose was to internalise the eyewear category by pooling expertise in design, marketing, production and distribution for the majority of the group’s brands. The Eyewear Collections are designed and developed in-house.

The sunglasses, a square unisex frame and a metal aviator, are said to reflect the spirit of the Bottega Veneta brand. The retro-inspired unisex frame combines a “timeless” design with innovative and contemporary details and features a polished acetate front and tubular metal temples, engraved with the brand’s leather weave motif, the ‘intrecciato’.

The metal aviator-style combines a flat front and tubular shaped temples. Features include the intrecciato detail on the double bridge and custom nose pads and temples.
