FRANCE. TFWA has announced that Dufry CEO Julián Díaz, former UK foreign secretary David Miliband and social media pioneer Randi Zuckerberg will address delegates at this year’s TFWA World Exhibition & Conference, which take place in Cannes on 2 to 7 October.
Díaz, Miliband and Zuckerberg will join TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen, who will outline the challenges and the opportunities facing duty free and travel retail at a time of political and economic change and a slowing in growth of global sales.
Two Research Workshops are planned, one assessing the inflight sales channel, and the second detailing the latest TFWA data on the travelling consumer. This year’s Market Watch will focus on Russia.
New features for TFWA World Exhibition & Conference 2016 include the launch of TFWA’s ONE2ONE meeting service. Meetings will be scheduled on exhibitors’ stands throughout Thursday 6 October and during the morning of Friday 7 October.
“There is considerable opportunity for growth in our industry, but we also face challenges from a diverse range of quarters,” noted TFWA President Erik Juul-Mortensen.
“The TFWA World Exhibition & Conference will provide attendees with useful and up-to-date information that will help them to overcome these challenges.
