Jo Malone harnesses oriental inspiration to re-issue its limited-edition Kohdo Wood Collection
UK. Jo Malone is poised to introduce the second season of its limited-edition Kohdo Wood Collection, which was first launched last year. The line features two fragrances which have been inspired by the ancient Japanese incense ceremony of Kohdo, whereby emotions are influenced according to the different nature of scents.
Lotus Blossom & Water Lily (Kohdo Wood Day) and Dark Amber & Ginger Lily (Kohdo Wood Night) will be available in travel retail from June. The line includes cologne, bath oil and a home candle. All the products can be combined to create a Kohdo Wood Home Pampering Ritual.
One of the three formalised Japanese arts, Kohdo is a ritual that has been handed down from generation to generation in Japanese society. Taking over 30 years to master, Kohdo is an intricate ceremony designed to alleviate stress and influence mood by using different scents.
The blend of ingredients in both Jo Malone Kohdo Wood fragrances have been designed to inspire the senses. The day fragrance is said to be uplifting and invigorating; the night scent soothing and sensual.
