The destination goods brand from Bangalore makes its travel retail debut |
INDIA. Chumbak, described as a “popular quirky souvenir brand” from Bangalore, has made its debut in travel retail with a store at Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA).
The brand offers a broad range of souvenirs in a 47sq m space at the Security Hold Area of the Domestic Terminal.
A statement from GMR Hyderabad International Airport Ltd said: “Chumbak (meaning “˜magnet’ in English) offers its impulsive, bold designs and bright colours [on] a host of souvenir products including key chains, mobile cases, travel pillows, shorts, footwear, wall paintings, coffee mugs, T shirts and generic gifting items at reasonable prices.”
Fast-growing RGIA will soon hit 12 million passenger per year, noted the airport company, as it aims to become “one of the main air travel hubs in India”.
