Holidays, musicals and marriage: Lotte Duty Free launches spring promotions

SOUTH KOREA. Lotte Duty Free is offering customers the chance to win a holiday to southern France as part of a range of spring promotions.

South Korean customers who make a purchase at its stores from 24 February until 13 April will be entered into a draw to win a pair of tickets for the four-night, six-day trip. There will be five winners, and the trip will take in places such as Grasse, Nice and Cannes.

The retailer has launched a prepaid card event. Its Lotte Duty Free Shop, World Tower, and Coex stores are offering prepaid cards of up to KRW240,000 (US$212) for customers who spend over US$300. The value of the prepaid card depends on the amount spent and card used.

Lotte Duty Free is also offering free gifts with purchases of certain amounts. Customers who spend more than US$600 at its Myeong-dong, World Tower, Coex, and Pusan stores on 17 March will receive a specially-designed colour change mug emphasising Lotte Duty Free’s brand identity.

Additionally, customers who spend over US$2,000 at the World Tower and Coex stores will receive a ticket to see the Dream Girls musical, which is running at the Charlotte Theatre in Seoul from 4 April.

Lotte Duty Free has also launched a promotion for couples preparing for marriage. If they sign up as a wedding customer they will be eligible to receive a wedding tree exchange ticket – a special guest book for customers who spend more than US$1,200 at its flagship, World Tower, Coex, and Pusan stores.

Wedding customers who spend over US$1,000 in offline stores will also receive a pre-paid card.

As reported, Lotte Duty Free’s web drama ‘First Kiss for the Seventh Time’ won The Moodie Davitt Digital Award 2017 for Best Video Campaign in Travel Retail this month, one of an unprecedented four accolades earned by Lotte in those awards. The series has racked up an astonishing 5 million views on Chinese social media platforms after being released in late November.
