USA. HMSHost, in partnership with San Francisco restaurateur, April Spears, will open a Super Duper Burgers outlet at San Francisco International Airport.

Super Duper Burgers: ‘Fast food burgers, slow food value’

HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Kent Vanden Oever said: “HMSHost is proud to deliver travellers the best dining choices in the industry and we are excited to enhance the traveller experience with this great local favourite at San Francisco International Airport.”

‘Fast food burgers, slow food values’ is the Super Duper Burgers’ motto.

The operator aims to offer high-quality local ingredients with fast-food convenience. Its menu includes Super and mini burgers, a chicken sandwich with chipotle aioli and veggie burgers blended from hummus and cucumber and Super Dupers’ zesty sauce.

All are served on buns baked by a San Francisco artisan baker.

Other options include ‘fresh-fired’ or garlic fries with sauce, house-made mayonnaise, or chipotle for dipping. Salads, beers and wines are also available and a breakfast menu offers organic egg sandwiches with bacon, sausage and avocado, donuts, and Four Barrel coffee.

Super Duper Burgers will also feature a ‘grab-and-go’ section.

Super Duper Burgers said it is aligned with San Francisco International Airport’s vision to provide good, clean, and fair food which has been responsibly sourced and well prepared. The company added that it builds its restaurants sustainably, locally, and with a commitment to quality and health. It works with local farms and suppliers, including Niman Ranch, Mary’s Chicken and  Straus Creamery, and local designers, sign painters, and artisans.

According to Super Duper Burgers, all packaging is compostable.

HMSHost has several other outlets at the airport, including Gordon Biersch, Max’s Eatz, Max’s E.V.O.O. Café, and three Starbucks.
