Heathrow VIP has been designed to offer a private journey through the airport, and is exclusively available for Business and First Class passengers to book. It includes a chauffeur driven journey to a dedicated private entrance, where a concierge greets passengers and takes them to their own private lounge to wait for their flight. The VIP team take care of check-in and luggage within the suite, as well as private security screening when it is time to depart.

Passengers are offered a five-star meal and a bespoke personal shopping service from the comfort of their private lounge, before being taken in a luxury car directly to the door of their departing flight.

Atherton’s Heathrow VIP menu will put a focus on British produce and be updated on a monthly basis. The June menu takes inspiration from his Berners Tavern restaurant and features a selection of canapés, a summer salad starter and a roasted stone bass, caramelised cauliflower, fennel and cockle velouté main course. The dessert menu features a French meringue, fresh berry compote and strawberry sorbet.

Atherton said his aim was to make the VIP dining experience a “true occasion” for passengers. “With the help of my team and the Heathrow VIP chefs, we’ve created a range of exciting dishes to suit even the most experienced palate; we hope this will enhance the premium experience when travelling through the VIP suite at Heathrow,” he said.

Heathrow Airport CEO John Holland-Kaye said he hoped the menu would provide travellers with a taste of the best in British cuisine. He commented: “From the minute a passenger arrives, to the moment they board their flight, Heathrow’s VIP experience offers a seamless, private and luxurious journey through the airport – now complemented with the culinary masterpieces from Jason Atherton.”
