Global Exchange continues European expansion with Copenhagen rollout

DENMARK. Global Exchange is to open four currency exchange branches at Copenhagen International Airport after investing €2.5 million.

Two branches will be located in Arrivals, with the other two at the baggage claim area.

Global Exchange CEO Isidoro Alanís said the openings represented a “turning point” in company strategy, as it pursued growth in Europe following years of expansion in Latin America, North Africa and Asia.

Global Exchange has 205 branches in 52 airports across 19 countries, including this one at Madrid-Barajas Terminal 4

“In the beginning of 2016 we entered Denmark with the opening of two branches at Billund International Airport,” he said. “Now we are taking a step forward and are opening four new branches in the most important airport in the country, located in the capital, consolidating our presence in the country and our position in Europe.”

Global Exchange had three openings at Geneva International Airport at the end of 2015.

It is also in the last rollout phase in Russia and is expected to start operations at three of the main airports in the country soon.
