Galleria Duty Free 63 offers US$20,000 for one week’s work in Grand Opening promotion

SOUTH KOREA. The country’s newest duty free retailer, Galleria Duty Free 63, has launched a promotional campaign in which it will pay the three winning participants US$20,000 for one week’s work as tour guides for the store and the attractions of the Yeouido district in Seoul.

The campaign, dubbed ‘Golden Chance in the Gold Bar’, celebrate the store’s Grand Opening last week. Galleria Duty Free 63, owned by Hanwha Galleria, described the promotion as “a unique recruiting programme”.

Three tour guides will be hired to promote Galleria Duty Free 63, 63 Building (the famous gold-clad building in which the new duty free store is housed), as well as other tourism attractions around Yeouido.

Golden Chance PromoGolden Chance Promo YachtThe selected tour guides will shop in Galleria Duty Free 63; report on weather conditions from 63 Art observatory; sample the cuisine in restaurants within 63 Building; sail a yacht along the Han River; and experience some of Seoul’s hottest attractions, while enjoying complimentary accommodation at The Plaza hotel for their week’s ‘work’.

The tour guides’ daily experiences will be broadcast live through his/her own social networking system and each will receive US$20,000 for working eight hours per day for one week from 1 October.

Round-trip airfares will be provided for any selected candidates from abroad (anyone aged 18 and over living in South Korea, China or Japan can apply). Applicants can apply through Galleria Duty Free’s website (http://brand.galleria-dfs.com).
