Free Willey! Moodie Davitt man leads O’Reilly in FIFA World Cup Charity Competition

INTERNATIONAL. There’s a shock new leader in The Great Moodie Davitt 2018 FIFA World Cup Charity Competition after the latest round of matches on Saturday – The Moodie Davitt Report Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Matt Willey.

As reported, King Power International (Thailand), which controls English Premier League club Leicester City, is the event’s official brand partner.

Willey, temporarily retitled Chief Touchline Officer for the duration of the tournament, stormed 13 places up the table to take the leader. He overtook long-time leader, Bahrain Duty Free Head of Operations Domnick O’Reilly, who sits just one point behind.

Also hunting Willey down is Tony Richardson of the appropriately named Duty Free Hunter. A packed leaderboard has Andre de Almeida of Loch Lomond Group, Craig Pring of WHSmith, Market Square’s Johan Schölvinck and veteran travel retail consultant and journalist John Gallagher all just one point back.

In fact, there are 14 contenders within just seven points of Willey, including none other than The Moodie Davitt Report Chairman Martin Moodie (up ten places to 13th) whose protest to the organisers that he should have scored bonus points for picking the All Blacks v France rugby result on Saturday fell on deaf ears.

Below is the league table from the morning of Sunday 24 June. We’ll bring you an update Monday after the England-Panama, Poland-Columbia and Japan-Senegal matches.
