Dufry joint venture set to operate Phoenix Sky Harbor’s Terminal 4 duty free concessions

USA. A Dufry Phoenix Retailers joint venture (JV) has been recommended as the successful bidder to operate two duty free concessions at Phoenix Sky Harbor International’s Terminal 4.

An evaluation panel scored the Dufry JV bid higher than those from Duty Free Americas and SFS PHX.

The duty free/duty paid spaces span 1,069sq ft and 1,050sq ft respectively.

Paradies Lagardère, Casa Unlimited Enterprises, Avila Retail Development and Management, and In Motion Entertainment Group were named as successful bidders in other concessions packages at the terminal.

As shown in the table below, the packages include news & gifts, fashion jewellery, drugstore, travel accessories, souvenir, and open concepts.

All recommendations will be presented to the Phoenix Advisory Board and its Business and Development Subcommittee in March and to the City Council and its Downtown, Aviation, Economy and Innovation Subcommittee in April.

The lease term is seven years with one three-year option. Rent will be whichever is greater of the minimum annual guarantee or percentage rent. The contract requires a minimum capital investment of US$350 per sq ft.

The City of Phoenix Aviation Department approved a series of speciality retail concession awards at T4 in June as part of the first phase of its solicitation process. Among the winners were Lagardère Travel Retail and Partners, Avila Retail Development and Management, HG Phoenix Retailers JV, Paradies PHX and XpresSpa Phoenix Airport.
