Dubai World Central reports +95% first-half surge in passengers

UAE. Passenger traffic almost doubled at Dubai World Central in the first half of 2016, according to operator Dubai Airports.

The emirate’s second airport handled 410,278 passengers in the first six months of the year, up +95% compared to the same period in 2015.

Dubai Airports noted that passenger traffic at Dubai World Central is mainly driven by flydubai, which operates 35 weekly flights to five destinations. The airline will increase this number for the upcoming winter schedule.
