UAE. Dubai Duty Free’s Colm McLoughlin has been named ‘Retail CEO of the Year’ at a Middle East awards ceremony.
The CEO Middle East Awards aim to recognise and reward the most successful and innovative CEOs in the Middle East across 14 categories. The tenth edition of the event took place yesterday (19 September) at the Four Seasons Resort Hotel, Jumeirah Beach.
McLoughlin, who is Executive Vice Chairman of Dubai Duty Free as well as CEO, was recognised for “the achievements and exceptional performance that [he] has demonstrated during the past year”.
“I am extremely honoured to receive this industry distinction from the CEO Middle East Awards,” McLoughlin commented. “This award reaffirms our commitment to shaping the duty free and travel retail sector particularly in the Middle East. I would like to thank our Chairman, H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman of Dubai Duty Free and our 6,000 employees at Dubai Duty Free, who do a great job in delivering an excellent retail experience.

The judging panel consisted of the editorial team and directors of ITP Executive Publishing. The award was presented to Colm McLoughlin by ITP Publishing Managing Director Ali Akwai. McLoughlin was accompanied by his wife Breeda.
