Diverse Flavours presents its first Scotch whisky range at Cannes

Diverse Flavours has added Scots Gold blended Scotch whisky to its line-up for next week’s TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (Red Village L34).

Scots Gold offers a standard blend and an 8yo. Both expressions have been selected by Charles Edge, the owner of Ethimex, a London company that has been supplying the international spirits industry since 1999.

In 2015, the company created the subsidiary Charles Edge London, which began a whisky-ageing programme, destined to be bottled in a proprietary range of whisky brands and launched over the next ten years. While the whiskies are ageing, the company is launching the Scots Gold range.

“These superior blends, offering high quality at an affordable price, will appeal to a broad range of consumers across the globe, especially in Asia, Europe and the Americas,” Diverse Flavours stated.

Scots Gold Blended is described as creamy and warming on the palate, fruity with butterscotch with a long and complex finish. Scots Gold 8yo is said to be spicy and rich, with a hint of smoke and a finish of spice and soft fruit.

Both Scots Gold expressions are available in 70cl and 1-litre bottles and are already being distributed to duty free shops in India and the Middle East.
