Cointreau captures the purity of crystal in limited edition bottle

Rémy Cointreau Global Travel Retail is to launch a limited-edition Cointreau bottle that takes inspiration from brand founder Édouard Cointreau’s quest to create the perfect liqueur.

The crystal-themed limited edition will be showcased at Rémy Cointreau’s stand during the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (Marine Village, Foyer 1A).

The bottle design aims to embody the crystalline transparency Édouard Cointreau sought during the creation of his liqueur. He said of the finished product: “I have searched passionately for the quintessential flavour of Cointreau. I wanted to combine the purity of crystal with the subtlety of tastes made from the perfect blend of sweet and bitter orange peels.”

The new bottle is claimed to be shaped and cut in the same way that “a fine jeweller would transform a rough diamond”. The raised embossing of the bottle, with its “myriad of diamond-like facets”, is intended to achieve a feminine textured effect.

The Cointreau Limited Edition 1 litre will be made available in selected travel retail stores worldwide, priced at parity with Cointreau Original.

Travel retail media previewed the bottle design during an event at Cointreau’s Angers distillery earlier this year, where company executives outlined the brand’s ambitious new strategy in travel retail.
