UK. Chairman of UK supplier group Travel Retail Consortium Jonathan Corbett has joined Compass Supply Solutions (CSS) this month as Sales Director. He leaves CG Hibbert, a supplier of duty free wines, spirits, beer, tobacco and other tax free products, after almost four years as Sales and Operations Manager.
CSS Group is a national and international provider of food and drink for the duty free and travel industry with brand relationships that span household names to specialist producers. As Sales Director Corbett will be involved with CSS customers across four travel retail strands of the business: aviation, cruise lines, hospitality and leisure, and export travel retail.
Corbett – who has been leading the UKTRC since January following two years as Vice Chairman – said of the move: “I am looking forward to the future with Compass Supply Solutions and the great growth planned for our business in duty free and travel retail.”
CSS CEO Frank René Welkerling added: “Compass Supply Solutions is very happy and honoured that such a well known and professional travel retail expert and valued travel retail specialist has joined our great team.”
Before joining CG Hibbert, Corbett worked at The Wandering Monkey Company which he founded in 2004. It sold a range of activities and gifts to airports, airlines, ferries and over 60 cruise ships, including its own range of branded products.
