Celebrity chef Lorena Garcia partners with HMSHost at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport

USA. HMSHost has opened the Lorena Garcia Tapas y Cocina restaurant at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport Terminal A.

The outlet, a partnership with the celebrity chef Lorena Garcia and Frank Howell of F. Howell Management Services, offers a range of small plates, cocktails and an espresso bar.

Garcia is regarded as one of the USA’s most prominent Latin chefs.

The menu includes olives españoles, yucca fries, black bean & queso fundido, and ropa vieja. Chef’s specials include chargrilled churrasco steak with chimichurri sauce and prickly pear baby back ribs.

Local Texas wines from the Becker Vineyards, Duchman Family Winery, Flat Creek Estate and Messina Hof are featured and the beer list includes Sol Bebidas, Pacifico, Estrella Damm and Modelo. Any beer can be used in a house-made ‘michelada’ and the cocktail list includes caipirinha and tamarindo.

The restaurant décor is defined by light woods, copper tones and splashes of red. The walls are decorated with photographs of Chef Garcia.

HMSHost and Chef Garcia also collaborate in another restaurant at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
