BAHRAIN. Bahrain Duty Free today inaugurated the Candy Cloud children’s confectionery concept at Bahrain International Airport.
The 60sq m store is located along the main passenger walkway in Departures. The concept, first introduced by Aer Rianta International at Dublin Airport T1, is aimed at kids and their parents.
Speaking at the launch event, Bahrain Duty Free General Manager Bassam Alwardi said: “As this is in a prime location within the terminal it was important for us to ensure that we created something fun and innovative, and we believe that with Candy Cloud we have succeeded.”
He said the store underlined the company’s “customer-centric approach”, noting that this was the first of a number of openings scheduled by the retailer during the rest of 2016, as it upgrades its 1,500sq m of Departures space.
