Areas to offer travellers a welcome Retreat in Copenhagen Airport

DENMARK. Areas has been awarded a contract to operate a new point of sale for Danish brand Retreat at Copenhagen Airport.

The contract win represents Areas’ entry into the Danish market, in line with the company’s stated expansion strategy in Northern Europe.

Retreat will offer fresh bio health food products as well as gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian food. It will be located in Terminal 3 and is scheduled to open in March 2017.

Areas’ opening will bring additional choice to Copenhagen Airport, which won the Airport Food & Beverage Offer of the Year Award at the 2016 FAB Awards.

“This first foothold in Denmark serves to underpin Areas’ expansion strategy, announced in early 2016,” said Areas CEO in France and Northern Europe Alexandre de Palmas.

“This penetration into the Northern European market underscores our ability to identify the innovative concepts that attract major international airports.”

Areas is the global concession catering brand of Elior Group and operates in 13 countries in Europe, the USA and Latin America.
