Bussiere’s new role will be in London. He worked with French retailer Carrefour in Singapore before joining DFS in 2008 as Merchandise Manager for Wine & Tobacco in Hong Kong. More recently, Bussiere was GTR Marketing Director for Treasury Wine Estates in London.

Bussiere’s appointment is in line with MG Cellars’ intention to capitalise on its expansion in Asia and target the increasing number of Asian travellers to the Middle East, USA and Europe.

The brand owner said it has set its sights on leading the Armagnac category with its Chabot brand.

MG Cellars was founded in 1997 by the late Marc Gentzbourger as a distributor of fine wines and spirits into Asia travel retail.
