AirAsia BIG Duty Free and beauty house SimplySiti strike exclusive alliance

MALAYSIA. AirAsia BIG Duty Free has launched two special-edition SimplySiti products as part of an extensive agreement with the Malaysian beauty brand.

The exclusive AirAsia/SimplySiti co-branded products are available onboard all AirAsia and AirAsia X flights and through the company’s bigdutyfree.com website.

‘Simply Elegant 2 Way Cake – AirAsia Edition’ and ‘Simply Elegant Lip Gloss Duo – AirAsia Edition’ are each being sold onboard at a promotional price of RM54 (US$13.27) until 30 September. SimplySiti’s full range of products will also be available online at bigdutyfree.com.

AirAsia Berhad Executive Chairman and AirAsia X Group CEO Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, who officially launched the two special editions, said AirAsia BIG Duty Free would be “the debut platform for all SimplySiti’s latest products from now on”.

AirAsia BIG Duty Free Group Head Sumeet Dhingra commented: “We are very excited to add the on-trend make-up powerhouse SimplySiti to the AirAsia BIG Duty Free perfume & cosmetics offering. Its range reflects the philosophy of the brand, beauty with an edge, and we are sure it will be a hit with customers travelling regionally.”

SimplySiti President Dato’ Siti Nurhaliza said the collaboration was a “historical moment” for both AirAsia and SimplySiti, and that the brand’s products would now be more widely accessible in both domestic and international markets. “This partnership will help facilitate cross-border retail of SimplySiti products across the international market and SimplySiti will be able to soar further into untapped markets globally,” he said.
